24.03.09 Performance Floors for Motorport Garage
Client - Denis Welch Motorsport, Yoxall
We were pleased to be involved in the recent refurbishment of the Denis Welch Motorsport facility in Yoxall, Staffordshire.
Our heavy-duty polyurethane screed system, Uragard HT, was chosen as the new floor finish for its hard-wearing, slip resistant and chemical resistant properties. Uragard HT also offers the advantage of being quick to install in a single-step application, meaning that downtime could be kept to a minimum at the busy Austin Healey Specialist. The flooring refurbishment work totalling approximately 300m2 was undertaken in the workshop and bodyshop areas during weekends, in two phases.
Due to the nature of the environment, the old concrete floor had suffered from wear and tear, impact damage and worn joints, so a comprehensive preparation programme was required to ‘make good’ the floor before the application of the new Uragard floor finishes.
