ISO 9001:2008
John L. Lord & Son Ltd hold the latest SGS ISO 9001: 2008 Quality Management accreditation, valid from May 2011 to May 2014.
FeRFA
John L. Lord & Son Ltd have been a member of FeRFA, the Resin Flooring Association since 2004, and work in accordance with the FeRFA Guidelines and the British Standard BS 8024-6 for resin flooring. FeRFA works to promote the development of the highest quality standards for Resin Flooring and represents the major UK-based manufacturers, contractors and associated companies.
SAFE Contractor
In 2012, John Lord received renewed accreditation from SAFE Contractor - a programme which recognises very high standards of health and safety practice amongst UK Contractors.
NSCC
John Lord are a member of the NSCC (National Specialist Contractors Council) through the Resin Flooring Association. The NSCC represents a range of specialist trade organisations within the construction industry, working to promote standards and bring together common aims within the industry.
RIBA
John L. Lord & Son Ltd is a member of RIBA Enterprises and can be found in the annual RIBA Product Selector Directories. The Royal Institute of British Architects are a prominent architectural institution that promotes architecture and architects since being awarded its Royal Charter in 1837.
NBS Plus
John L. Lord & Son Ltd is a member of NBS Plus (the National Building Specification). NBS Plus is a library of up to date product information which is authored as NBS clauses, with guidance, and can be consulted or copied directly into buildings specifications. FeRFA Trainer of the Year 2012
Graham Fenton, Director and Head of Sales & Marketing led the celebrations of the John Lord representatives who received Trainer of the Year 2012 at the FeRFA Awards. The FeRFA Awards were presented before a packed audience of representatives of the Resin Flooring Industry who were told that this year “the Awards had attracted more entries than ever” and that “the range of submissions received demonstrated the variety of uses for resin flooring, from industrial to commercial applications.” Upon receipt of the Award, Graham Fenton recognised the skills and commitment of the John Lord workforce; “Having a well trained, experienced, skilled and qualified workforce is critical in the development of installation techniques for new products. “Having a motivated, loyal, committed and positive workforce is an essential factor in securing the trust of new clients. “The confidence we have in our workforce has played a huge part in our sales efforts when bidding for work in new areas with new products. “This Award is recognition of our on-going commitment to training, the outcomes of which are vital to the success of our ambitious business growth plan.”
FeRFA Trainer of the Year 2010
The 2010 FeRFA awards attracted a high number of applications from industry leaders, showcasing a wide range of top quality resin flooring projects and initiatives. The FeRFA Trainer of the Year Award was designed to highlight the efforts made by companies towards increasing the training and skills found within the industry. Presented by FeRFA CEO and award sponsor, Cobra Insurance Brokers, we were delighted to be announced ' Trainer of the Year'. FeRFA declared "Training is the key to the future of the resin flooring industry and this award is in recognition of a member company’s continuing commitment to training, development of staff to raise quality, and health & safety standards. The overall winner of this award is John Lord & Sons (Rizistal) Ltd. The company demonstrated total and continuous commitment to training, commencing with the NVQ process in 2008 resulting in a fully NVQ qualified workforce. Clear training objectives and staff development plans throughout the business demonstrated that John Lord puts training at the core of its business".
FeRFA Contractor of the Year 2008 Winners
We were delighted to be announced the winners of the prestigious FeRFA Contractor of the Year Award 2008, which was presented at the AGM and Dinner before a capacity audience at the Marriott Forest of Arden in November 2008. A record numbers of entries were received for the awards this year, demonstrating the growing interest in the industry and the dedication to innovation, technology and expertise.
